Trapped Behind the Scam

This year's global theme, "Trapped Behind the Scam," reminds us that human trafficking is constantly evolving. Increasingly, exploitation begins online — through deception, false promises and technology-facilitated recruitment.

How we work

A coordinated response across Albania

Human trafficking cannot be addressed by one organisation or one service alone. People may need immediate safety, legal advice, shelter, healthcare, psychosocial support, education, employment assistance or long-term reintegration. URAT connects the experience and specialist services of its members so that the response is coordinated around the needs, rights and choices of each person.

Our approach

What we do

01

Prevent trafficking and exploitation

We work with communities, young people, families, professionals and institutions to reduce vulnerability, improve access to reliable information and address the conditions that allow exploitation to take hold.

03

Improve policy and practice

We bring frontline evidence into national dialogue, research, reporting, training and advocacy. Our aim is to strengthen systems so that people are identified earlier, protected consistently and supported for as long as recovery and reintegration require.
